Littering costs everyone. Take care to recycle what you can and take rest of your throw-aways to the Convenience Center.
What to Recycle
Cardboard, newspaper, office paper, telephone books, magazines, aluminum cans, steel cans, glass, plastics (#1s & #2s), electronic waste & batteries.
Recycle Center
400 S. Campbell Street, Lancaster, ph: 859-792-1868. Drop-offs: 1) Recycling Center Mon.-Thurs. 7 AM-4 PM, 2) Convenience Center Tues.-Sat. 8 AM-3 PM, 3) 24/7 drop-off at Camp Dick Fire-station #2 (end of Rogers Rd), Garrard County Fair Grounds and Paint Lick Sportsman's Club. Glass, electronic waste & battery drop-off at Recycling Center only. No fees charged.
Convenience Center
Hanging Fork Rd (off Danville Rd), Lancaster. 8:00 AM-3 PM, Tues.-Sat. ph: 859-792-6353. Items accepted free of charge: metal/aluminum, washers/drayers, stoves, used car/lawn mower batteries, water heaters, etc. Used oil. Minimal charge: household garbage & bulky waste. Charged by weight: construction & demolition debris. Tires: $2 per tire.
