SIXTH ANNUAL GARRARD COUNTY ANTI-LITTER/BEAUTIFICATION CAMPAIGN TO START APRIL 21st - read exciting details to find out how you can take part & enter to win…
The campaign will run from Earth Day (April 21) to June 3. Any group or individual who would like to conduct a public roadside cleanup will be provided trash bags and free disposal by the Solid Waste Department. The first 10 non-profits, churches, ball teams, or other such entities will earn $200 for cleaning 2 miles of public roadway during the campaign. These 10 groups will then be entered into a drawing at the Party on the Square on June 15 to earn an additional $100. There will be two drawings for $100 each and a representative of the group must be present to win. Additionally, any individual or group who assists with a beautification project, such as helping an elderly neighbor plant flowers, haul away junk, etc, will be entered into another drawing to be held at the Party on the Square. Two grand prizes will be given away for individuals or groups assisting with a beautification project.
